Our Little Prince

Yep, you read correctly.  We are both sick and had to go to the doctor today…that mean ol’ doctor!

It all started a few evenings ago, when mommy wasn’t feeling too well.  She had a sore throat, headache and was getting the sniffles.  On Tuesday morning when we woke up, mommy and I both felt really bad.  Mommy took me to my Auntie Chelsea’s house to take care of me while mommy took care of herself and tried to feel better.  Mommy slept all day and took lots of PM medicine, while I couldn’t sleep at all for my auntie.  My little nose just wouldn’t let me get comfortable enough to sleep.  Mommy picked me up at her normal time and tried to get me to sleep for her.  I didn’t sleep at all for her or daddy either until I went to bed, and even then I kept waking up and crying because I just didn’t feel good. 

Mommy went to work today, and I went to my Auntie’s house again.  Mommy was feeling really bad at work and was trying to get things done so she could get out of there and pick me up and go home to try to rest.  Well, I rushed that along a bit.  Auntie called mommy and told her that I wasn’t eating any of my solid foods, and threw up the formula I would eat…then she couldn’t get me to eat anymore.  So, mommy called the doctor and daddy picked me up from auntie’s house, and we all went to the doctor. 

Turns out we both have respiratory infections, and I have developed an ear infection as well.  So, the doctor gave us both some antibiotics to take…oh my, this stuff is yucky!  It’s a fight to get me to take it because it just tastes so bad!  I am extra cranky right now because I just don’t feel good and still won’t eat my solids, and mommy is losing her voice (which daddy loves) and doesn’t feel good either.

Uh oh…mommy just got a call from Auntie.  I got her sick too!  Now, daddy has to stay home tomorrow to watch me because mommy just can’t take anymore time off work without risking getting in trouble.  So, I guess this tells you to stay away from sick people.  Mommy gave it to me, I gave it to Auntie, and let’s all hope that daddy doesn’t get it so that he can continue to take care of us all! 

Well, it’s way past my bedtime. Time to go and hope for a good nights sleep where I don’t wake up crying several times throughout the night.

Well, today Matthew and I got our pictures taken.  I felt like a superstar, posing and smiling with all the lights shining and people making funny noises to make me smile and laugh.  It was fun…especially at first before I got tired of being the center of attention.  Anyhow, Mommy and Daddy took us to Sear’s Portrait Studio to get them done.  I am not going to talk about them much more…the pictures do all the talking for me, really.

Start Slide Show with PicLens Lite

Hey all!  Guess what?  Daddy has created a site for babies and families!  It is just like Myspace, but better (in my opinion) because it’s all about people like me.

On his new site, you can do all that you can do on Myspace and more.  You can post pictures, videos (even directly from your cell phone), write comments, blogs, and leave messages for all of your friends.  You can even participate in forums where people ask questions about babies, or give their advice.  It’s pretty awesome!

He just started a baby photo contest that will begin on September 1st, but he needs more people on the site to enter the contest.  The site is totally free, but if you win the contest you get a $25 prize.  The first, second, and third place winners will also be featured for the entire month of October.  So, go and check it out…and tell everyone you know about his new site.  You don’t have to have babies, you can have grown children, be a grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin…or just plain LOVE babies!
